Vertical fan heaters with a six-sided air diffuser were installed in all poultry houses for heating.
By distributing heated air over the heads of the chickens and the bedding, the heating system proved to be very efficient for broiler breeding.
Previously, the Customer had used conventional heaters with horizontal air distribution. Wet bedding was a problem and as a consequence the birds’ feet got sick. With the diffuser fan heater, the heated air is discharged directly above the floor, which immediately dries the bedding.
The Customer also used the air damper at different positions at the beginning of the cycle, when the chickens were small, in the middle and at the end of the cycle.
To avoid having to adjust the air damper position all over again, at the Customer’s request, we developed a mechanism that allows the damper position to be easily changed to a preset angle, depending on the cycle time.
Today, all heaters in this series feature this mechanism.
