Information about the facility
4 vertical RMX-93 ACV heaters are used for heating.
Fan heaters are installed along the central axis of the poultry house. The heat is distributed horizontally, directly over the birds’ heads. The air never blows on the birds, but at the same time creates a dense air stream above them.
The heated air is distributed over the bedding, drying it out, which solves the problem of wet bedding and, as a consequence, turkey leg disease and increased humidity inside the turkey house.
The turkey house is ventilated using chimneys and aired using wall inlet valves. This ventilation system ensures that CO2 and ammonia accumulate primarily in the bedding area. With a traditional heating system, much more ventilation is needed to eliminate those. During the operation of vertical heaters, the air flow above the birds removes harmful gases faster, more efficiently and more economically.
